Titagarh Rail Systems rises on Rs 857-cr order win
|
|
Titagarh Rail Systems advanced 1.98% to Rs 515.55 after it received letter of acceptance (LoA) from the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) for Surat Metro Rail Phase-I, Project I for Rs 857 crore.

The order entails design, manufacture, supply, testing, commissioning and training of 72 of standard gauge cars for Surat Metro Rail Phase-I, Project I.
The execution would start in 76 weeks after signing the contract and is scheduled to be completed in 132 weeks thereafter.
Titagarh Rail Systems (formerly known as Titagarh Wagons) is the largest private sector manufacturer of railway coaches (EMUs, MEMUs) and the largest wagon maker (other than railways).
The company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 48.24 crore in Q4 FY23 as against a net loss of Rs 24.95 crore in Q4 FY22. Net sales more than doubled to Rs 974.22 crore in the fourth quarter from Rs 422.19 crore recorded in the same period last year.
