Karnataka, renowned for its dynamic market and discerning consumer base, presents a highly competitive landscape for beverage companies.
"Despite the challenges, our brands have consistently gained momentum, capturing the attention and loyalty of consumers throughout the region,” the company said in a statement.
The market share of the company's brands in Karnataka was 3.3% in the fiscal year 2019-2020. This rose to 6.9% in the fiscal year 2021-2022.
The trend continued and Som Distilleries further experienced a momentous leap in market share as it rose 13.9% in the fiscal year 2022-2023.
Som Distilleries and Breweries is primarily engaged in brewing, fermentation, bottling, canning and blending of beer and Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL). It also supplies draught beer from its plants.
On a consolidated basis, Som Distilleries & Breweries' net profit rose 148.36% to Rs 15.87 crore on 73.23% increase in net sales to Rs 252.57 crore in Q4 March 2023 over Q4 March 2022.
The scrip shed 0.59% to currently trade at Rs 245.75 on the BSE.
