The water treatment company has secured a contract worth approximately Rs 420 crore for the construction, operation, and design of a water treatment plant (WTP) in Jite, Raigad. The WTP will have a capacity of 270 million litres per day (MLD) and will cater to the future water demand of Navi Mumbai.
The plant will treat water from Hetwane dam and pump it to the existing Master Balancing Reservoir (MBR) at Vihal for further distribution. The project's scope includes design, engineering, supply, construction, installation, and commissioning of the 270 MLD WTP, including a clear water pumping station, within 42 months of commencement, followed by 15 years of operation and maintenance.
The Hetwane Dam is an earthfill dam located near Pen, in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. It is situated on the Bhogeshwari River.
