Nazara Tech spurts after subsidiary raises $28mn from new, existing investors
Nazara Technologies jumped 6.30% to Rs 617.45 after the company said its subsidiary, NODWIN Gaming, signed binding document to raise Rs 232 crore ($28 million) from new and existing investors.
NODWIN will use the funds to expand its gaming and esports ecosystem, develop new IPs, expand market presence, and make strategic acquisitions.

All existing investors of NODWIN Gaming (Nazara, KRAFTON, Inc. and JetSynthesys) will join new incoming investors in this funding round. The funding round values NODWIN at $349 million, marking a value accretion of 2.7X since its previous funding round in 2021. It last raised funds in March 2021 from South Korean gaming company KRAFTON, Inc. at $135 million (Rs 988 crore) value.

Nazara Technologies has been an early player in the Indian eSports and cricket simulation markets. It caters to diverse gaming and entertainment needs with its comprehensive portfolio.

The company's consolidated net profit rose 18.18% to Rs 2.60 crore on 65.22% increase in net sales to Rs 289.30 crore in Q4 March 2023 over Q4 March 2022.
