Cera Sanitaryware rises after Q4 PAT jumps 12% YoY; declares dividend of Rs 50/share
Cera Sanitaryware rose 1.15% to Rs 6,640 after the company reported 11.64% jump in net profit of Rs 62.93crore on 20.9% rise in revenue from operations to Rs 530.38 crore in Q4 FY23 over Q4 FY22.
Profit before exceptional item and tax rose 11.95% year on year to Rs 88.44 crore in Q4 FY23. Exceptional loss stood at Rs 500 crore.

EBITDA (excluding other income) stood at Rs 851 crore, recording the growth of 3.3% as compared with Rs 824 crore posted in corresponding quarter last year.

On full year basis, the company's net profit jumped 40.37% to Rs 209.65 crore on 24.58% rise in revenue from operations to Rs 1,796.19 crore in FY23 over FY22.

Cash and cash equivalents were Rs 687 crore as of 31 March 2023.

Vikram Somany, chairman & managing director, Cera Sanitaryware, said, “Our sanitaryware and faucetware divisions, which made up 53% and 35% of our Q4FY23 revenue respectively, registered 18% and 29%revenue growth respectively, on a y-o-y basis.

We have focused on driving an improved product mix with new products comprising products launched over the last 3 years represent 34% of the turnover in Q4FY23.

Looking ahead, we are confident that our diverse product offerings, extensive distribution network, well-established brand recognition, strong financial standing, and expansion plans will enable us to achieve sustained growth in our key business segments.

We are also pleased to report that the Company made notable progress in expanding the production capabilities of its faucetware division. We are confident that our faucetware capacity expansion project will be completed well on schedule. Progress was made in the due diligence for a suitable land parcel for the new Sanitaryware facility.”

Meanwhile, the board has recommended a dividend of Rs 50 per equity share for FY23. The dividend will be remitted within 30 days from the date of declaration.

Further, the board has decided to incur capital expenditure of Rs 29 crore for the FY 2023-24 towards automation and balancing equipment of Sanitaryware and faucetware plants, IT updation, Staff quarters, CERA Style Studio and other routine Capex.

Cera Sanitaryware is mainly engaged in manufacturing of ceramic sanitary ware and faucet ware along with trading of of sanitary ware, faucet ware, ceramic tiles, kitchen sinks and bath wellness products.
