Vedanta Ltd gained for a third straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 256.35, up 1.22% on the day as on 12:49 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 0.72% on the day, quoting at 17522.85. The Sensex is at 58845.87, up 0.78%. Vedanta Ltd has risen around 11.72% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty Media index of which Vedanta Ltd is a constituent, has risen around 15.46% in last one month and is currently quoting at 5595.85, up 0.98% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 47.27 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 172.19 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark August futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 257.65, up 1.2% on the day. Vedanta Ltd is down 17.19% in last one year as compared to a 7.78% spurt in NIFTY and a 1.42% spurt in the Nifty Media index.

The PE of the stock is 5.99 based on TTM earnings ending June 22.
