The household appliances company said that the commercial production of additional 160,000 units has commenced from 28 June 2022. The manufacturing capacity of Quartz Kitchen Sinks has increased from 840,000 units to 1,000,000 units per annum (p.a), it added.

On 30 August 2021, Acrysil a manufacturer of Quartz Kitchen Sinks in Asia had announced a further expansion of production capacity by an additional 160,000 Quartz Sinks p.a through greenfield project at Bhavnagar in Gujarat. Thus, taking the overall capacity to 1,000,000 sinks (1 million sinks) p.a.

The expansion in production capacity is to meet the growing demand of Quartz Kitchen Sinks in global market. The proposed capital expenditure involves an investment of Rs 38 crore approx. in Land & Building, Moulds, Plant & Machinery, Utilities, warehouse and other related infrastructure. The project is likely to be completed by Q1 FY2023 and will be financed by mix of internal accruals and debt.

Acrysil is engaged in manufacturing composite quartz sinks. The company is also into manufacturing of stainless-steel kitchen sinks with the core focus on Quadro Sinks and dealing into a complete range of Kitchen Appliances under its own "Carysil" brand. The company also offers Bathroom solutions under its "Sternhagen" brand.

On a consolidated basis, net profit of Acrysil rose 25.46% to Rs 16.36 crore on 38.06% rise in net sales to Rs 138.93 crore in Q4 FY22 over Q4 FY21.
