Vedanta Ltd is down for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 311.95, down 4.28% on the day as on 13:19 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is down around 1.76% on the day, quoting at 15882.2. The Sensex is at 53123.81, down 1.78%.Vedanta Ltd has lost around 26.74% in last one month.Meanwhile, Nifty Metal index of which Vedanta Ltd is a constituent, has eased around 17.72% in last one month and is currently quoting at 5634.15, down 3.22% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 98.26 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 89.92 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark May futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 311.85, down 4.38% on the day. Vedanta Ltd jumped 14.52% in last one year as compared to a 8.21% rally in NIFTY and a 7.09% spurt in the Nifty Metal index.

The PE of the stock is 6.91 based on TTM earnings ending March 22.
