Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd rose 4.87% today to trade at Rs 3.23. The S&P BSE Utilities index is up 0.78% to quote at 1925.06. The index is down 2.72 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Reliance Power Ltd increased 2.71% and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd added 1.46% on the day. The S&P BSE Utilities index went down 7.8 % over last one year compared to the 13.15% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd has added 70% over last one month compared to 2.72% fall in S&P BSE Utilities index and 2.1% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 4.6 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 9.94 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 4.65 on 14 May 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 1.44 on 14 Feb 2019.
