Net sales for the quarter ended Sep 17 of the company stood at Rs 200.47 crore, up by 25% on YoY basis. OPM increased by 150 bps to 10.5%, thus resulted in an OP increase by 46% to Rs 21.10 crore. Other income for Sep 17 quarter stood at Rs 5.25 crore down by 24%. Thus, PBIDT was higher by 23% to Rs 26.35 crore. With interest costs at Rs 0.55 crore and depreciation being higher by 4% to Rs 7.60 crore, PBT was higher by 36% to Rs 18.20 crore. With total tax of Rs 6.59 crore, up by 39% YoY, PAT for the quarter ended Sep 17 stood at Rs 11.61 crore, up by 34%.
For the quarter, sales from the Pump Segment stood at Rs 159.32 crore and accounted for 72% of sales. PBIT from the same was up by 15% to Rs 15.16 crore and accounted for 86% of total.
For the quarter, sales from the Valves Segment stood at Rs 41.19 crore and accounted for 19% of sales. PBIT from the same stood at Rs 2.70 crore as compared to loss of Rs 95 lakh and accounted for 15% of total.
For the quarter, sales from other segment stood at Rs 20.68 crore and accounted for 9% of sales. Loss at PBIT level stood at Rs 15 lakh as compared to loss of Rs 20 lakh for Sep 16 quarter.
Performance for the 6 months ended Sep 17
For the 6 months ended Sep 17 net sales of the company stood at Rs 616.13 crore, up by 7% on YoY basis. OPM decreased by 120 bps to 10.6%, thus resulted in an OP of Rs 65.19 crore down by 4% YoY. Other income for Sep 17 quarter stood at Rs 21.96 crore up by 3% YoY. Thus, PBIDT was lower by 2% to Rs 87.15 crore. With interest costs being higher by 68% to Rs 2.92 crore and depreciation were up by 3% to Rs 22.38 crore, PBT was lower by 6% to Rs 61.85 crore. With total tax of Rs 21.55 crore, down by 5% YoY, PAT for the 6 months ended Sep 17 stood at Rs 40.30 crore, down by 6%.
For the six months, sales from the Pumps segment stood at Rs 531.80 crore and accounted for 76% of sales. PBIT from the same was down by 9% to Rs 55.82 crore and accounted for 95% of total.
For the six months, sales from the Valves segment stood at Rs 109.24 crore and accounted for 16% of sales. PBIT from the same stood at Rs 3.29 crore as compared to loss of Rs 1.48 crore for the 6 months ended Sep 16 and accounted for 6% of total.
For the six months, sales from other segment stood at Rs 58.35 crore and accounted for 8% of total sales. Loss at PBIT level stood at Rs 74 lakh as compared to loss of Rs 55 lakh for 6 months ended Sep 16 period.
