WPIL has to its credit a rich experience of more than 60 years in designing, developing, manufacturing, erecting, casting, commissioning and servicing and after sales and refurbishment of Pumps & Pumping Systems. These pumps whether vertical or horizontal, of various sizes, are required in micro and major irrigation systems, Barge Pump stations, river water pumping, sewage submersible, offshore, fire fighting and other industrial applications, thermal, nuclear power plants, hydro power etc. The company has operations spread across India and in International market it has operations through subsidiaries in Thailand, Australia, UK and South Africa.
For the quarter ended Dec'15, WPIL registered a 12% increase in standalone net sales to Rs 62.52 crore. OPM was up by 210 bps to 13.6%, thus resulting in OP increase of 32% to Rs 8.49 crore. Other income was up by 192% to Rs 1.49 crore. Interest costs and depreciation costs were lower by 28% and 3% to Rs 2.34 crore and Rs 0.72 crore respectively. Thus PBT stood at Rs 6.92 crore, up by 134% YoY. After providing total tax of Rs 2.39 crore, up by 32%, standalone PAT stood at Rs 4.53 crore, up by 294% YoY.
Standalone Performance for the 9 months ended Dec'15
For the 9 months ended Dec'15, WPIL registered a 19% reduction in standalone net sales to Rs 138.07 crore. OPM was lower by 90 bps to 13.6%, thus resulting in OP reduction of 25% to Rs 18.76 crore. Other income was up by 88% to Rs 3.21 crore. Interest costs and depreciation costs were lower by 33% and 9% to Rs 6.89 crore and Rs 2.09 crore respectively. Thus PBT stood at Rs 12.99 crore, down by 8% YoY. After providing total tax of Rs 4.85 crore, down by 13%, standalone PAT stood at Rs 8.14 crore, down by 4% YoY.
