The top-line for September 2015 quarter inclined by 9% to Rs 481.73 crore. OPM has inclined by 550 bps to 10.6%. The net profit has increased by 88% to Rs 33.29 crore due to OPM expansion.

Performance for the quarter ended September 2015

The top-line inclined by 9% to Rs 481.73 crore. There was increase in grooming segment revenue by 9% to Rs 333.94 crore, portable power by 26% to Rs 26.36 crore and oral care by 7% to Rs 121.43 crore.

OPM has inclined by 550 bps to 10.6% due to decline in purchase of stock in trade and other expenses. The operating profit increased by 125% to Rs 51.10 crore.

PBIT of grooming segment has increased by 66% to Rs 50.01 crore. PBIT of portable power declined by 97% to Rs 0.14 crore. The loss at PBIT level stood at Rs 4.63 crore.

Other income decreased by 36% to Rs 10.07 crore. Depreciation has decreased by 13% to Rs 7.40 crore. The PBT has increased by 94% to Rs 53.35 crore due to expansion in OPM.

The tax outgo inclined by 105% to Rs 20.06 crore. The effective tax rate inclined from 35.6% to 37.6%. The net profit has increased by 88% to Rs 33.29 crore due to OPM expansion.

Performance for the year ended June 2015

The top-line inclined by 13% to Rs 1973.5 crore. There was increase in grooming segment revenue by 13% to Rs 1385.25 crore, portable power by 16% to Rs 98.79 crore and oral care by 13% to Rs 489.46 crore.

OPM has inclined by 500 bps to 9.7%. The operating profit increased by 131% to Rs 190.64 crore.

PBIT of grooming segment has increased by 27% to Rs 226.05 crore. PBIT of portable power increased more than 999% to Rs 11.64 crore. The loss at PBIT level stood at Rs 79.14 crore.

Other income increased by 212% to Rs 98.81 crore. Depreciation has increased by 18% to Rs 38.88 crore. The PBT has increased by 205% to Rs 245.92 crore due to expansion in OPM.

The tax outgo inclined by 200% to Rs 87.79 crore. The effective tax rate declined from 36.3% to 35.7%. The net profit has increased by 208% to Rs 158.13 crore due to OPM expansion.

Promoters holding and valuation

The promoters hold 75% stake in the company

The shares of the company are trading around Rs 4700 at BSE.
