Net profit of Birla Kennametal rose 114.29% to Rs 1.65 crore in the quarter ended March 2007 as against Rs 0.77 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2006. Sales rose 52.16% to Rs 6.68 crore in the quarter ended March 2007 as against Rs 4.39 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2006.

For the full year, net profit rose 166.37% to Rs 6.02 crore in the year ended March 2007 as against Rs 2.26 crore during the previous year ended March 2006. Sales rose 59.38% to Rs 24.21 crore in the year ended March 2007 as against Rs 15.19 crore during the previous year ended March 2006.
