Sales of Others segment has gone down 30.90% to Rs 16.10 crore (accounting for 0.33% of total sales). Sales of Smart Infrastructure segment has gone up 21.89% to Rs 1,852.30 crore (accounting for 37.55% of total sales). Sales of segment has gone down 7.70% to Rs 221.90 crore (accounting for 4.50% of total sales). Inter-segment sales rose Rs 91.10 crore to Rs 108.10 crore.

PBIT of Energy Management segment fell 6.01% to Rs 125.10 crore (accounting for 24.17% of total PBIT). PBIT of Mobility segment rose 264.44% to Rs 49.20 crore (accounting for 9.51% of total PBIT). PBIT of Digital Industries segment fell 37.24% to Rs 131.30 crore (accounting for 25.37% of total PBIT). PBIT of Others segment rose 40.00% to Rs 1.40 crore (accounting for 0.27% of total PBIT). PBIT of Smart Infrastructure segment rose 47.89% to Rs 196.40 crore (accounting for 37.94% of total PBIT). PBIT of segment fell 57.61% to Rs 14.20 crore (accounting for 2.74% of total PBIT).

Full year results analysis.
Net sales (including other operating income) of Siemens has increased 21.17% to Rs 19553.8 crore. Sales of Energy Management segment has gone up 13.21% to Rs 6,080.30 crore (accounting for 30.54% of total sales). Sales of Mobility segment has gone up 51.21% to Rs 2,160.20 crore (accounting for 10.85% of total sales). Sales of Digital Industries segment has gone down 2.29% to Rs 3,522.90 crore (accounting for 17.69% of total sales). Sales of Others segment has gone up 12.69% to Rs 117.20 crore (accounting for 0.59% of total sales). Sales of Smart Infrastructure segment has gone up 18.92% to Rs 7,074.40 crore (accounting for 35.53% of total sales). Inter-segment sales rose Rs 320.10 crore to Rs 355.90 crore.
Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 50.42% to Rs 2,166.30 crore. PBIT of Energy Management segment rose 21.69% to Rs 687.30 crore (accounting for 31.73% of total PBIT). PBIT of Mobility segment fell 5.28% to Rs 116.60 crore (accounting for 5.38% of total PBIT). PBIT of Digital Industries segment rose 39.86% to Rs 503.50 crore (accounting for 23.24% of total PBIT). PBIT of Others segment fell 48.15% to Rs 4.20 crore (accounting for 0.19% of total PBIT). PBIT of Smart Infrastructure segment rose 93.91% to Rs 745.00 crore (accounting for 34.39% of total PBIT).
PBIT margin of Energy Management segment rose from 10.52% to 11.30%. PBIT margin of Mobility segment fell from 8.62% to 5.40%. PBIT margin of Digital Industries segment rose from 9.98% to 14.29%. PBIT margin of Others segment fell from 7.79% to 3.58%. PBIT margin of Smart Infrastructure segment rose from 6.46% to 10.53%. Overall PBIT margin rose from 8.75% to 10.88%.
Operating profit margin has jumped from 10.89% to 12.72%, leading to 41.54% rise in operating profit to Rs 2,487.20 crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 22.51% to 22.20%. Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 27.28% to 27.65%. Employee cost decreased from 11.07% to 10.14%. Other expenses fell from 28.36% to 27.47%. Other direct service cost rose from 18.26% to 19.05%.
Other income rose 61.21% to Rs 496.2 crore. PBIDT rose 44.47% to Rs 2983.4 crore. Provision for interest fell 37.19% to Rs 22.8 crore. Loan funds declined from Rs 182.10 crore as of 30 September 2022 to Rs 175.20 crore as of 30 September 2023. Inventories rose to Rs 2,505.20 crore as of 30 September 2023 from Rs 2,165.00 crore as of 30 September 2022. Sundry debtors were higher at Rs 4,707.20 crore as of 30 September 2023 compared to Rs 3,786.00 crore as of 30 September 2022. Cash and bank balance rose to Rs 7,650.70 crore as of 30 September 2023 from Rs 6,584.10 crore as of 30 September 2022. Investments declined from Rs 1.40 crore as of 30 September 2022 to Rs 1.30 crore as of 30 September 2023.
PBDT rose 45.93% to Rs 2960.6 crore. Provision for depreciation rose 1.17% to Rs 320.8 crore. Fixed assets declined from Rs 1,923.20 crore as of 30 September 2022 to Rs 1,314.80 crore as of 30 September 2023. Intangible assets increased from Rs 1,235.40 crore to Rs 1,773.80 crore.
Profit before tax grew 54.22% to Rs 2,639.80 crore. Share of profit/loss were nil in both the periods. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 677.8 crore, compared to Rs 449.8 crore. Effective tax rate was 25.68% compared to 26.28%.
Minority interest increased 900% to Rs 1.00 crore. Net profit attributable to owners of the company increased 55.40% to Rs 1,960.90 crore.
Equity capital stood at Rs 71.20 crore as of 30 September 2023 to Rs 71.20 crore as of 30 September 2022. Per share face Value remained same at Rs 2.00.
Promoters’ stake was 75.00% as of 30 September 2023 ,compared to 75.00% as of 30 September 2022 .
Cash flow from operating activities increased to Rs 1,400.00 crore for year ended September 2023 from Rs 978.50 crore for year ended September 2022. Cash flow used in acquiring fixed assets during the year ended September 2023 stood at Rs 202.00 crore, compared to Rs 156.00 crore during the year ended September 2022.
