Operating profit margin has jumped from 8.39% to 10.20%, leading to 30.76% rise in operating profit to Rs 75.96 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) increased from 56.29% to 59.70%.   Purchase of finished goods cost fell from 3.80% to 0.98%.   Employee cost decreased from 10.22% to 9.62%.   Other expenses fell from 21.24% to 19.49%.   

Other income fell 22.50% to Rs 6.13 crore.  PBIDT rose 24.38% to Rs 82.09 crore.  Provision for interest rose 42.01% to Rs 31.47 crore.  

PBDT rose 15.47% to Rs 50.62 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 7.67% to Rs 17.55 crore.  

Profit before tax grew 20.08% to Rs 33.07 crore.  Share of profit/loss were nil in both the periods.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 7.7 crore, compared to Rs 6.42 crore.  Effective tax rate was 23.28% compared to 23.31%.

Minority interest increased 90.48% to Rs -0.02 crore.  Net profit attributable to owners of the company increased 19.03% to Rs 25.39 crore.  

• Sales of Diversified Engineering segment has gone up 11.90% to Rs 380.60 crore (accounting for 49.53% of total sales).  Sales of Custom Designed Building Solu segment has gone up 2.02% to Rs 387.79 crore (accounting for 50.47% of total sales).  Inter-segment sales came down from Rs 28.03 crore to Rs 23.64 crore.  
• Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 24.36% to Rs 82.09 crore.  PBIT of Diversified Engineering segment rose 45.51% to Rs 43.26 crore (accounting for 52.70% of total PBIT).  PBIT of Custom Designed Building Solu segment rose 7.03% to Rs 38.83 crore (accounting for 47.30% of total PBIT).  
• PBIT margin of Diversified Engineering segment rose from 8.74% to 11.37%.  PBIT margin of Custom Designed Building Solu segment rose from 9.54% to 10.01%.  Overall PBIT margin rose from 9.16% to 10.68%.  

For year-to-date (YTD) results analysis.

Net sales (including other operating income) of Pennar Industries has increased 3.66% to Rs 2307.77 crore.  Sales of Diversified Engineering segment has gone up 5.79% to Rs 1,194.68 crore (accounting for 50.29% of total sales).  Sales of Custom Designed Building Solu segment has gone up 0.12% to Rs 1,180.75 crore (accounting for 49.71% of total sales).  Inter-segment sales came down from Rs 82.41 crore to Rs 67.66 crore.  

Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 26.16% to Rs 231.97 crore.  PBIT of Diversified Engineering segment rose 27.13% to Rs 126.11 crore (accounting for 54.36% of total PBIT).  PBIT of Custom Designed Building Solu segment rose 25.03% to Rs 105.86 crore (accounting for 45.64% of total PBIT).  

PBIT margin of Diversified Engineering segment rose from 8.78% to 10.56%.  PBIT margin of Custom Designed Building Solu segment rose from 7.18% to 8.97%.  Overall PBIT margin rose from 7.96% to 9.77%.  

Operating profit margin has jumped from 6.71% to 9.02%, leading to 39.40% rise in operating profit to Rs 208.14 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) increased from 59.53% to 61.48%.   Purchase of finished goods cost fell from 3.98% to 0.92%.   Employee cost decreased from 10.05% to 9.73%.   Other expenses fell from 19.88% to 19.06%.   

Other income fell 31.03% to Rs 23.83 crore.  PBIDT rose 26.17% to Rs 231.97 crore.  Provision for interest rose 30.51% to Rs 89.19 crore.  

PBDT rose 23.60% to Rs 142.78 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 5.91% to Rs 50.53 crore.  

Profit before tax grew 36.04% to Rs 92.25 crore.  Share of profit/loss were nil in both the periods.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 22.71 crore, compared to Rs 16.23 crore.  Effective tax rate was 24.62% compared to 23.93%.

Minority interest increased 62% to Rs -0.19 crore.  Net profit attributable to owners of the company increased 33.89% to Rs 69.73 crore.
