q-o-q results
On sequential basis, Tata Elxsi registered 5% rise in sales to Rs 402.78 crore for the quarter ended September 2018. OPM fell 140 basis points to 26.5% which saw OP stagnant at Rs 106.72 crore.
Other income jumped 197% to Rs 23.32 crore. As depreciation stayed same at Rs 6.08 crore, PBT grew 14% to Rs 123.96 crore. Provision for tax grew 11% to Rs 41.77 crore, after which PAT grew 17% to Rs 82.18 crore.
y-o- y results
On y-o-y basis, sales were up 18% and OPM jumped 190 basis points. OP was up 27%. PBT grew 43% and PAT jumped 44%.
Six months results
For the six months, Tata Elxsi registered 13% rise in sales to Rs 748.82 crore. OPM improved 480 basis points to 28.5% which saw OP grow 35% to Rs 213.24 crore.
Other income jumped 85% to Rs 31.17 crore. As depreciation fell 6% to Rs 12.19 crore, PBT grew 44% to Rs 232.22 crore. Provision for tax grew 46% to Rs 79.54 crore, after which PAT jumped 43% to Rs 152.68 crore.
FY 2018 results
For FY 2018, Tata Elxsi had registered a 12% rise in sales to Rs 1386.30 crore. OPM had improved 100 basis points to 25.0% which took OP up 17% to Rs 346.01 crore
PBT had grown 38% to Rs 363.91 crore and PAT was up 37% to Rs 240.04 crore.

Tata Elxsi extends alliance with Airtel to deliver an engaging digital platform on Internet TV
In September 2018 Tata Elxsi extended its partnership with Airtel's DTH service arm –Airtel Digital TV, to deliver an engaging digital platform for customers. As part of this, Tata Elxsi will build the application software for the company's innovative hybrid set-top-box, Internet TV.
Continuing on the success of the existing partnership between the two companies for Internet TV, the alliance will enable the companies together to enhance customer's digital experience on their television sets.
