Commissioning of Chemplast Sanmar's Greenfield PVC plant at Cuddalore got delayed. According to the company though the plant is ready in all respect for commissioning, certain consents from Tamil Nadu pollution control Board TNPCB) is yet to be obtained thereby delaying the commissioning of the project. Infact the project was originally expected to be commissioned by October 2008 and was revised latter to March 2009. But now even that was delayed further.
The Greenfield PVC project at Cuddalore, Tamilnadu has a capacity to produce 200000 tpa of suspension PVC. The plant will commence operation immediately after all requisite consents from TNPCB.
