A bulk deal of 19.52 lakh shares was executed on Asahi India Glass counter at Rs 42 per share at 10:29 IST on BSE today, 12 February 2014.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 120.20 points, or 0.59%, to 20,483.57

Bulk deal boosted volume on the Asahi India Glass counter. On BSE, so far 21.42 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 7,772 shares over the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 47.85 and a low of Rs 42 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 52.75 on 31 December 2013 and a 52-week low of Rs 27.10 on 19 August 2013.

The small-cap stock underperformed the market over the past one month till 11 February 2014, falling 14.03% compared with the Sensex's 1.9% fall. The scrip however, outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 3.15% as against Sensex's 0.62% fall.

The company has an equity capital of Rs 24.31 crore. Face value per share is Re 1.

Asahi India Glass reported consolidated net loss of Rs 19.39 crore in Q2 September 2013, higher than net loss of Rs 28.99 crore in Q2 September 2012. Net sales rose 24.2% to Rs 543.25 crore in Q2 September 2013 over Q2 September 2012.
