NTPC Ltd gained for a third straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 322.25, up 2.38% on the day as on 12:49 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 1.58% on the day, quoting at 21690.1. The Sensex is at 71801.88, up 1.56%. NTPC Ltd has risen around 4.04% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty Energy index of which NTPC Ltd is a constituent, has risen around 9.24% in last one month and is currently quoting at 35203.85, up 4.09% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 145.72 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 182.13 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark February futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 321.45, up 2.26% on the day. NTPC Ltd is up 90.85% in last one year as compared to a 22.9% spurt in NIFTY and a 56.37% spurt in the Nifty Energy index.

The PE of the stock is 16.86 based on TTM earnings ending September 23.
