State Bank of India is up for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 586, up 0.22% on the day as on 12:44 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 0.68% on the day, quoting at 19810.2. The Sensex is at 66137.95, up 0.7%. State Bank of India has gained around 1.66% in last one month. Meanwhile, Nifty Bank index of which State Bank of India is a constituent, has gained around 0.21% in last one month and is currently quoting at 44201.7, up 0.26% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 33.77 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 119.22 lakh shares in last one month. The benchmark November futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 588.35, up 0.33% on the day. State Bank of India is down 2.18% in last one year as compared to a 7.99% spurt in NIFTY and a 4.37% spurt in the Nifty Bank index. The PE of the stock is 8.4 based on TTM earnings ending September 23.
