NTPC has announced commencement of commercial operations for the first part capacity of the Dayapar Wind Energy Project Phase-I. This project, located in Dayapar, Bhuj, Gujarat, is part of the 450 MW Hybrid Project undertaken by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a subsidiary of NTPC, through its wholly owned subsidiary NTPC Green Energy.
The Dayapar Wind Energy Project Phase-I has a total capacity of 150 MW, and the first part with a capacity of 50 MW has successfully completed commissioning. As of 4 November 2023, the project has been declared commercially operational.
With the addition of the Dayapar Wind Energy Project Phase-I, the installed and commercial capacity of NTPC has reached 73,874 MW.
NTPC is India's largest energy conglomerate. It has presence in the entire value chain of the power generation business. As on 30 September 2023, the Government of India holds 51.10% in NTPC.
NTPC reported consolidated net profit of Rs 4,726.40 crore in Q2 FY24 as compared with Rs 3,417.67 crore in Q2 FY23, registering the growth of 38.29% YoY. Revenue from operations rose 1.83% to Rs 44,983.35 crore in Q2 FY24 as against Rs 44,175.03 crore during the previous quarter ended September 2022.
The scrip declined 0.36% to Rs 234.35 on 3 November 2023.
