Mankind Pharma announced that the company's facility located at Daring Block, Berimok, Namchi Zilla, South Sikkim has resumed its operations as usual with effect from 13 October 2023.
The company added that the power/utility supply has been restored by the respective authorities. There was no major disruption in supply chain as the manufacturing of the products had been diverted to other plants.
Lastly, the firm said that there was no damage to the plant/property.
Mankind Pharma is engaged in manufacturing of pharmaceutical formulations. The company is one of the leading manufacturers of prescription medicines.
The company's consolidated net profit jumped 66.4% to Rs 486.87 crore in Q1 FY24 as compared with Rs 292.65 crore in Q1 FY23. Revenue from operations jumped 18.3% to Rs 2,578.62 crore during the quarter as compared with Rs 2,180 crore posted in corresponding quarter last year.
The scrip rose 0.87% to settle at Rs 1789.55 on Friday, 13 October 2023.
