Vedanta Ltd fell 5.29% today to trade at Rs 212.2. The S&P BSE Metal index is down 0.69% to quote at 22643.16. The index is up 6.02 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd decreased 1.25% and Tata Steel Ltd lost 0.62% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went up 27.96 % over last one year compared to the 15.13% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

Vedanta Ltd has lost 10.93% over last one month compared to 6.02% gain in S&P BSE Metal index and 1.16% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 11.46 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 6.86 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 340.75 on 20 Jan 2023. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 210 on 27 Sep 2023.
