KPI Green Energy has successfully commissioned a 7.80MW wind-solar hybrid power project in Surat, Gujarat. The project comprised of 4.20MW wind capacity developed by KPI Green Energy and 3.60MWdc solar capacity provided by its subsidiary, KPIG Energia.
The project was undertaken for Mono Steel India, a client of KPI Green Energy, under the 'Captive Power Producer (CPP)' business segment of the company. This initiative falls under the Gujarat Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Policy 2018, which aims to promote the use of renewable energy sources.
KPI Green Energy (formerly known as K.P.I. Global Infrastructure) generates and sells solar power under 'Solarism' brand name in India. It develops, builds, owns, operates, and maintains solar power plants as an independent power producer and captive power producer.
The company's consolidated net profit surged 49.6% to Rs 33.26 crore on 54.8% jump in net sales to Rs 189.36 crore in Q1 FY24 over Q1 FY23.
Shares of KPI Green Energy rose 2.96% to Rs 814.65 on 13 September 2023.
