Revenue from operations jumped 20.1% year on year to Rs 5,571.57 crore in the quarter ended 30 June 2023.
Profit before tax for the quarter was at Rs 486.80 crore, up 30.4% from Rs 373.23 crore in Q1 FY23.
Total expenses stood at Rs 5374.02 crore, registering a growth 18.81% YoY. Expenses on operation was at Rs 5136.60 crore (up 19.87% YoY) while employee benefits expense came in at Rs 46.58 crore (down 4.63% YoY) during the period under review.
Rail Vikas Nigam is in the business of executing all types of railway projects including new lines, doubling, gauge conversion, railway electrification, metro projects, workshops, major bridges, construction of cable stayed bridges, institution buildings etc.
Shares of Rail Vikas Nigam declined 1.35% to Rs 124.40 on the BSE.
