The revenue from the Chemicals business was Rs 536 crore (down 40% YoY), Vinyl segment revenue was Rs 164 crore (down 32% YoY) and Sugar business revenue was Rs 958 crore.
Further, revenue from Fertilizers business was Rs 378 crore (up 18% YoY), SFS segment revenue was Rs 236 crore (up 8% YoY) and that from Fenesta was Rs 192 crore (up 15% YoY).
Total expenditure rose by 8.2% YoY to Rs 2614.12 crore in Q1 FY24, due to higher raw material costs (up 37.6% YoY), higher employee expenses (up 13.9% YoY) and higher other expenses (up 5.8% YoY).
Finance cost jumped 52% YoY to Rs 25 crore and depreciation charges increased by 19% YoY to Rs 72 crore during the period under review.
Profit before tax in Q1 FY24 stood at Rs 86 crore, down by 77.8% from Rs 386.65 crore in Q1 FY23.
