The carbon black producer said, “The newly commissioned phase, boasting a capacity of 20,000 metric tons per annum (MTPA), marks a significant milestone for PCBL's journey towards going up the value chain.”
Upon completion, PCBL will have a specialty chemicals production capacity of 40,000 MTPA at its Mundra plant.
This enhanced capacity will enable PCBL to meet the growing demands of its existing customers, enhance customer serviceability and also explore new opportunities.
PCBL (formerly Phillips Carbon Black), a part of RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, is India's largest carbon black producer and exporter.
The company's consolidated net profit increased 15.9% to Rs 102.17 on 12.7% rise in net sales to Rs 1,373.81 crore in Q4 FY23 over Q4 FY22.
The scrip hit an all time high at Rs 178.25 on the BSE.
