Revenue from operations slipped 11.15% to Rs 5,719 crore in Q4 FY23 as compared with Rs 6,437 crore in Q4 FY22.
During the quarter, profit before tax rose 3.39% year on year to Rs 496.09 crore.
Total expense declined 11.07% year on year to Rs 5,497.61 crore in Q4 FY23, expenses on operation was at Rs 5,266.87 crore (down 11.49% YoY), Employee benefit expense was at Rs 38.03 crore (down 23.53% YoY).
On full year basis, the company's net profit jumped 27.98% to Rs 1420.55 crore on 4.64% increase in revenue from operations to Rs 20,281.57 crore in FY23 over FY22.
Meanwhile, the company's board has recommended a dividend of Rs 0.36 per equity share for FY23, subject to approval of shareholders. The final dividend will be paid within 30 days from the date of declaration.
Rail Vikas Nigam is in the business of executing all types of railway projects including new lines, doubling, gauge conversion, railway electrification, metro projects, workshops, major bridges, construction of cable stayed bridges, institution buildings etc. As of 31 March 2023, the Government held 78.20% stake in the company.
