Profit before tax in Q4 FY23 was at Rs 103.09 crore, registering a growth of 40% from Rs 73.65 crore posted in the same period last year.
Total expenses surged 56.03% year on year to Rs 648.29 crore during the quarter.
The company's revenue from Telecom Services stood at Rs 314.14 crore (up 5.34% YoY) and revenue from Proiect Work Services was at Rs 389.49 crore (up 132.78% on YoY) during the period under review.
On the full year basis, the company's consolidated net profit declined 9.5% to Rs 189.08 crore despite of 26.8% to Rs 1,963.51 crore in FY23 over FY22.
RailTel, a "Mini Ratna (Category-I)" Central Public Sector Enterprise is an information and communications technology (ICT) provider and one of the largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers in the country owning a pan-India optic fiber network on exclusive Right of Way (ROW) along Railway track. As on 31 March 2023, the Government of India holds 72.84% stake in the company.
Shares of RailTel Corporation of India declined 1.16% to Rs 119.50 on the BSE.
