NTPC Ltd rose 1.95% today to trade at Rs 146.3. The S&P BSE Power index is up 0.58% to quote at 4223.97. The index is up 3.86 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Adani Green Energy Ltd increased 1.36% and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd added 1.01% on the day. The S&P BSE Power index went up 56.02 % over last one year compared to the 3.55% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

NTPC Ltd has lost 5.73% over last one month compared to 3.86% gain in S&P BSE Power index and 0.1% drop in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 48305 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 6.59 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 166.3 on 19 Apr 2022. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 111.95 on 26 Aug 2021.
