Steel Authority of India Ltd gained 2.65% today to trade at Rs 129.55. The S&P BSE Metal index is up 1.01% to quote at 19522.02. The index is up 8.05 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Hindustan Zinc Ltd increased 2.29% and APL Apollo Tubes Ltd added 1.62% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went up 152.52 % over last one year compared to the 38.97% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

Steel Authority of India Ltd has added 4.39% over last one month compared to 8.05% gain in S&P BSE Metal index and 1.33% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 4.13 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 34.04 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 151.1 on 10 May 2021. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 32.65 on 15 Oct 2020.
