Volumes in the scrip were thin as 3,913 shares changed hands in the counter on BSE by mid-afternoon trade.
The stock bounced back from the lower level in the past few days ahead of the results announcement. From a low of Rs 484.50 on 21 October 2005, the stock surged to Rs 536.75 by 23 October 2005.
For Q4 September 2005, Automotive Axles registered 107.7% growth in net profit to Rs 8.89 crore (Rs 4.28 crore). Top line growth led bottom line growth. Net sales rose 50.4% to Rs 98.70 crore (Rs 65.62 crore).
Automotive Axles (AAL) manufactures all types of complete axles and axle assemblies including components and corresponding brake sets. It also manufactures automotive gears and air- and hydraulic-activated brake assemblies.
AAL is a joint venture promoted by the Kalyani group and Arvin Meritor Inc, USA (a Rockwell International group company) in 1981. Each of the promoters hold 35.52% stake.
